This is the most popular trekking zone in Nepal. One can enjoy nature’s beauty walking through rhododendron forests over the foothills of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The region is popular for the world’s deepest gorge (Kali Gandaki) and the highest lake (Tilicho) situated at the altitude of 4,919m. Most of the treks to this zone are commenced either from the lake-side resort town of Pokhara or Besisahar. |

The Khumbu, known commonly as the Everest zone, is the home of the Sherpa people and mysterious Yeti. It is located in the northeast of Nepal. The best known of all Himalayan tribes’ people, the Sherpas live mainly in this Solu Khumbu zone at the foot of Mt. Everest and they establish themselves as the world famous high altitude climbers. The trek itself takes you amongst many Sherpa villages and fabulous mountain scenery. Walking through famous Sherpa village of Namche Bazar and Tengboche monastry will bring you a spectacular view of mesmerizing peak of Ama Dablam and Everest. Diverse range of wildlife, ethnic groups and vegetation are seen in this zone. |

This is the third most popular trekking zone in Nepal that lies in the northeast of Kathmandu. Trekking to this zone offers the opportunity to explore Tamang villages, baffling extremes in topography with vibrant climatic conditions and to climb small peaks at a comfortably low elevation. Much of the trekking trail passes through semi tropical forests where moss covers the ground and orchids cling to tree trunks. The Gosainkunda Lake situated in the zone is a much- revered holy lake for Hindus and Buddhists. |
| Restricted Trekking Zones |

The zone falls in the restricted areas of Nepal and the travelers need to fulfill certain formalities of the immigration obtaining a special permit. These areas are now open to limited number of trekkers in order to protect the environment, prevailing traditional cultures, to check illegal entry into chine & to preserve the natural & herbal products and endangered wildlife. |
